Osaze is EPL player of the month

Super Eagles forward Osaze Odemwinggie is the Barclays English Premier League player of the Month for September. No Nigerian has won the award in seven years.
The last Nigerian to win the award was Austin Jay Jay Okocha with Bolton Wanderers in November 2003.
Odemwingie scored two goals in the month of September against Birmingham at the Hawthorns and against Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend.
His all round contribution was also important in the Baggies claiming seven out of a possible nine points in their three matches last month.
Odemwingie’s Manager, Roberto di Matteo also scooped the Manager of the Month award.
The decision was made by Barclays Award Panel, which includes representatives from football’s governing bodies, the media and fans.
